Giuseppe (Joe) Florio was born
in the town of Castiglione, province of Catania in Sicily. His Father was Antonino
Florio and his mother was Rosa DiCarlo
Giuseppe had a younger brother Francesco and sisters Agata, Carmela and Severina.
Giuseppe married Pina Tizzone in 1953 and moved to Sydney Australia. On 6 December
1955 they had a son Antonino (Tony) who lives in Sydney. Tony had 3 children Nicole
(22 April 1985), Angela (24 January 1987) and Joseph (15 April 1989).
After a long and happy life together with Pina, Giuseppe passed away at age 85 in
Jan 2005. Pina passed way 6 years later on 17 September 2011 at age 85 years
He is fondly remembered and missed by his family and friends, in Australia and
in Italy.
